myself aris
I grew up and actually spent the biggest part of my life in Ireland, 22 years. Then it was the UK and the Netherlands and now France for the duration.
What this means is that within me is a lot of soul, seriousness and humour. I'm proud of where I've lived. I always made an effort to understand what made each place unique. Learning language, culture and actually the source of national pride.
I have also always had a local and international branch to my life. Usually via people, meaning friends.
I have also traveled alot and experienced a huge number of cultures. I believe cultural education maybe defines me and is so valuable for insight and understanding of people and even politics.
Philosophy is also a huge part of my life even though I can never remember who I'm quoting. I feel everyone should learn at least one philosophy they agree with.
France is especially brilliant because everyone learns philosophy at school. I somehow bet I could guess someone's favourite philosopher!
I love travelling and I actually still travel frequently, even if within the region. Travelling is a great way to give shape to your soul, seeing how other people live and what type of attractions stand the test of time. It's fascinating.
So basically (easily with an Irish passport) I do like to bandy about the term global citizen. I actually believe people should travel, and ideally that way make a more informed decision about where they would like to settle down. A place really shapes a life.
So overall, be your inner globetrotter. Even if you just hop on a different bus for forty minutes or get off the train somewhere new and walk around.
I usually keep some travel essentials in a packed bag ready to go. It's my little ritual to be prepared.
I always wanted a job that would involve travel but life sent me somewhere else. Seeing delapidated places as well as charmante locations provides an ability to appreciate and even freedom from propoganda.
Monty has done so much travelling too! 5 mega road trips and several weekend breaks, UK, Spain, France and the Netherlands. I'd love for him to see Ireland. I would like to take people there sometimes, or show them round or do a random adventure. That would be nice.
