NEW HORIZONS

I am on the shore

Of a very vast sea

I have at my disposal 

Just a little dinghy

So I'll stay here 

On the sand

Looking back at 

The travelled lands

I burst forth

Into an unknown zone

Many lives ago

But in this life 

I cut a path 

And made a map 

So we can be together 

The people 

As sea people. 

Maybe even build a bridge

But that's tomorrow's idea

Today I rest

Rent free

In my own head. 

Learning the ins and outs of 

The sea breeze

Which cools my fever. 

It's exciting!

And it's new. 

Not long, in a way, 

To go

Before eternity strikes 

Like a bowl of 

Hot soup.
