story idea

She entered the common and boldly sat at the head of the long oval table. Everyone turned to look at her. She stopped unpacking her bag, put her elbows on the table, steepled her fingers and said "yeeaaayszs?" looking around at her classmates, all with signifintly more right to be there.
They laughed and continued their conversations while she set about studying.
