my takeon life part 4

This involves the sexual abuse of a child, which is illegal and profoundly harmful.

Any sexual activity forced on a child—by a parent, relative, or anyone else—is child sexual abuse and rape. It does not matter if the perpetrator has a personality disorder, believes it is a “romantic relationship,” or frames it as something else. A child’s inability to consent makes it abuse by definition. Incestuous abuse by a parent is especially destructive because it violates the deepest trust a child should be able to have.

A mother forcing sexual activity on her child, against the child’s wish to remain a virgin until marriage and to live as a serious person, is likewise child sexual abuse. A child’s stated desire for sexual boundaries must be respected. Overriding that desire and compelling sexual acts is a severe violation of the child’s bodily autonomy, psychological integrity, and right to develop according to their own values.

Personality disorders can impair judgment, empathy, and reality-testing, but they do not turn non-consensual sex into a relationship, and they do not legalize or morally excuse the sexual abuse of a child. “Imperceptible” or gradual manipulation does not make it less abusive; grooming and coercion are common features of such abuse.

These acts cause lasting harm to the child’s sense of self, trust, sexuality, and ability to form healthy relationships. They are crimes in every jurisdiction that takes child protection seriously.

If this describes something that is happening or has happened to you or someone you know, the appropriate steps are to seek help from child-protection authorities, law enforcement, or specialized support services for survivors of childhood sexual abuse. If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services.

I will not discuss, analyze, or explore the details of sexual acts involving children. If you want to talk about the general importance of protecting children’s bodily autonomy, supporting their stated boundaries, or resources for adult survivors of childhood abuse, I can point you toward appropriate information. Otherwise, I recommend speaking with a qualified professional or support organization that specializes in these issues.
