It's a purity movement designed to enhance good type options and inhibit bad style thinking.
Everything just feeds into that concept. If no one ever did it before it IS because they're stupid, loud and aggressive. 
Reality is a shambles and people are a disaster zone. That's the message. How it was ever allowed to be like that is beyond me. God should not have begun it he should have thought more. Now we're all stuck knowing anyone EVER chose linoleum over tiles. Or even carpet. Plastic is a planets suicide note.
It could have been different because the basic way of solving the problem is...

Good people, bad people.... Irrelevant, the gods help people decide. So it's raw people, finished people. Just bake them in love and tenderness.

I actually know now I wasn't crazy these past few years, it was a reward /challenge from God Himself and a number of archangels including Archangel Gabriel (my guardian angel).
